PORCELAIN BOWL BY EMMANUEL COOPER IN LONDON AUCTION

A porcelain footed bowl by Emmanuel Cooper is included in the ‘Modern Made’ auction from Lyon & Turnbull, which takes place at the Mall Galleries, London, on the 31st October 2025.

A porcelain footed bowl by Emmanuel Cooper is included in the ‘Modern Made’ auction from Lyon & Turnbull, which takes place at the Mall Galleries, London, on the 31st October 2025.

The bowl which dates from the early 1980s was, according to information given to the auctioneers, ‘acquired directly from Emmanuel Cooper at Middlesex Polytechnic in the early 1980s, when he was teaching ceramics on the degree course. The bowl was exchanged during an assessment, when Cooper traded it for one of the present owner’s life drawings.’

Auction viewing is from Tuesday 28th October 2025 to noon on the day of sale.
