A new book - Emmanuel Cooper Glazes - by Linda Bloomfield is to be published in January 2027 and is now available to pre-order

A new book about Emmanuel Cooper’s legendary work with glazes for the electric kiln, written by Linda Bloomfield, is to be published by the Herbert Press in January 2027. 'Emmanuel Cooper: Glazes' is now available for pre-order here.

The book, which will be supported by a touring exhibition, includes hundreds of unpublished glaze recipes and information on the techniques behind Cooper's signature effects. It also, for the first time, tells the story behind Cooper’s creation of glaze test tiles for the V&A’s permanent exhibition devoted to ceramic process which were recently accessioned to the collection as works of art.
