A plate remembering Emmanuel Cooper, created by potter-artist Hylton Nel, forms part of his exhibition at Charleston which ends this weekend - September 10th.
This plate by the South African artist-potter, Hylton Nel, is included in an exhibition of his plates at Charleston, Firle, East Sussex until September 10th 2023.
A tribute to Emmanuel Cooper, the plate is just one of 200 examples made by Nel in the past sixty years in which he celebrates people, stories, events and life experiences.
The exhibition at Charleston, once the home of Bloomsbury artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, opened in March and ends this weekend.
