London’s Bishopsgate Institute adds to its Emmanuel Cooper archive.
The Bishopsgate Institute in London has just received a second tranche of material to add to their Emmanuel Cooper visual arts archive. The collection includes images, correspondence and other research material from both editions of Cooper’s groundbreaking The Sexual Perspective (1986 & 1994) and Fully Exposed: The Male Nude in Photography (1990 & 1995) along with an album of photographs taken by Cooper to illustrate his journalism in the gay press. These include images of Gilbert & George, Derek Jarman, Laurie Anderson and George Melly.
